PoE Technology (PoETec) Consortium

Formed by industry leading networking components, IC and system companies; the PoETec Consortium is intended to create an ecosystem to enhance the growth of the Power over Ethernet marketplace.

The PoETec members will be defining and adopting interface specifications to enable rapid deployment of next generation IEEE® 802.3 Power over Ethernet standards based equipment. The PoETec consortium will make its interface specification available for public download and will provide implementation rights to all suppliers and system vendors who join the organization. Everyone has full access to our completed specifications.

The PoETec members are the leading networking components, IC and system companies currently involved in the PoE market. Membership includes a royalty-free and non-exclusive worldwide license for use of all PoETec specifications.
